Rules & Admission

Hooks: barbless hooks only. No modified, filed or crimped. No pallatrax or circle hooks of any kind.

Bait: no fake bait. No tiger nuts. No bird seed. No chick peas. No seeds. No grain or nuts. No chicken, beef, sheep or pig products. No home made bait. All bait must be declared for inspection by the bailiff on arrival. Do not bring any live or dead freshwater fish on to this site. Live baiting is allowed. Do not hold any more than six fish at any one time, bream, perch or roach only. No carp, tench or catfish are not to be used for this purpose. Do not fish any of the stock ponds. Do not bring any boilies or bait on to this site that has been dipped into any other waters outside of this fishery. All quality cat & carp baits are available on site. Random rig & bait checks are made here. This is a commercail fishery, do not over bait your swim.

Rigs: no fixed rigs. No leadcore or abrasive leaders. No free lining. No spinners or lures. No surface fishing.

Children / pets: children under 14 years and dogs are not allowed anywhere on site.

Bbq’s: no bonfires. Bbq’s are permitted but must be off the ground.

Noise: be respectful to other angles especially at night. Do not wander around the site at night. No bright lights or lasers pointers.

Sacking: no carp or cats fish are to be sacked or retained.

Preparation: set up your net, mat, sling, cradle, tripod and camera before you cast out. Don’t make the fish wait for you. Return fish to the water by sling or net.

Handling: do not lift a fish any higher than knee height and over a mat or cradle. Return the fish to the lake quickly in the net, do not throw any fish.

Snags: if you cast into the bush or get snagged never cut the line, call us.

Carp only lakes: min 15lb line. 42″ nets and large mat or cradle.

Catfish lakes: roman & kiln. Min 30lb line. 50″ nets. Large mats, cradle & sling. Plantation 50lb line. All braid must have rubber tubing. Net, mat, bait boat, mat, sling and net hire on site.

Rods: not to be left unattended for visits to the toilet or the peg next door. This is an offence that is now prosecuted by the environment agency. Rods must not be left in the care of any other angler. Do not take any fish away from the peg or into the lodge for photographic reasons. Do not stand holding fish for photo’s, keep them low and always over a mat, should they slip out of your hands.

Litter: leave your peg tidy. Discarded line must be bagged immediately. We tidy and inspect on a daily basis. If you are found to have left a mess, you will not return here.

Dipping: all nets, mats, cradles and slings will be dipped on arrival without question..

Visitors: only one allow per angler by prior arrangement with us only. Admission is discretionary. There is a small daily charge for visitors.

Guests: strictly wives or partners, non fishing only and must not handle any fish or equipment.

Safety: take away food is not allowed. Do not ask anyone to drop off supplies after 6pm.

Safety: alarm, cctv systems are operating constantly. You are locked in at night for your safety and cannot leave unless it is an emergency. Do not attempt to leave the site without calling us first or you will be treated as an intruder. Do not climb any gates. We have a duty to protect you the angler, our fish and our wild birds. Anyone attempting to enter these premises will be caught and will leave the premises along with any angler found to be involved. This is peaceful serious fishing. Not suitable for party goers, drunks or illegal drug users. We do not allow anyone to walk around these lakes for safety reasons. If you wish to go to the toilet, your vehicle or the shop, you want to be sure that your gear is there on your return. Angling theft and crime is on the increase, this is a safe fishery.

Pre visits: you are welcome to come to the shop and view ariel photographs and talk to us prior to your angling.

Arrival: if you arrive before opening times, please remain in your vehicle, do not throw ciggarette ends.

In the interest of safety, all new or those who have not attend for a while must provide us with photographic id, drivers licence is ideal.

Checking: you must hold a valid rod and line licence issued by the ea. Random rig and licence checks are made here. Illegal drugs are not permitted on this site.

No air, pellet or bb guns are allowed on the site. If you feel that you are unable or unwilling to comply with these rules, please do not attend this fishery. This is a respectable fishery with 1st class stocking & facilities and we wish to keep it this way. We have clean toilets, please use them.

This property is a private residence. The rights of admission to this fishery are reserved.

Admission is strictly at the discretion of the bailiff.
