The Furnace Lake complex is a six lake fishery which is an ideal venue for pole anglers and those seeking silver fish in large quantities. All of our lakes are heavily stocked with Roach, Perch, Rud and Bream. Our specimen lakes are renown for their large Bream that go into their late teens, Roach at 3lb and Perch at 4lb. Because our specimen lakes are out of the water course, the water remains clear throughout the year. These lakes are feed by our own reservoir beneath the ground with has fresh clean water to a high standard. These lakes are purpose built on high ground, which allows the water to maintain a higher temperature, greatly enhancing to catch rates. It is common place to catch 50 to 60lb of silvers during the winter months on a day ticket, per amgler. All lake pegs are on woodchip and the lakes have a perimeter hard road around them. Furnace is now promoting this complex for pole and match angling and is open to silver fish matches from November to March. Sometimes matches with a small number of anglers can be accommodated during the summer month, on week days only.

Carp Stocks. In reality you are going to catch beautiful quality Carp of all colours and varieties to the following weights: Teens, 20’s, 30’s and 40’s with the odd few in the 50’s. Catfish Stocks. As a licenced catfishery we have huge stocks of catfish to somewhere around 150lb. Furnace Lakes is the cream of the crop for British catfishing.
